Jennifer Lawrence stars in this biographical drama about Joy Mangano, the inventor of the Miracle Mop. Single mother of three Joy Mangano (Lawrence) has always dreamed of a better life for her family, but with her father (Robert De Niro)'s constant belittling of her skills and her mother (Isabella Rossellini)'s insistence on her remaining a mother and nothing more, Joy's determination to make something of herself takes over and she sets about starting up her own business to prove her parents wrong. When an executive (Bradley Cooper) of the Home Shopping Network shows an interest in her idea for a self-wringing mop, Joy's life takes a dramatic turn as she finds her identity changing from mother to inventor and entrepreneur.
For the past thirty years, Italian born Pietro Cicognani has been designing highly customized and exquisitely crafted country houses, city apartments, outbuildings, pool houses, and even garden plans for an A-list clientele. In the first monograph on his work, some twenty of his most notable projects are featured, including a reconverted barn complex on Long Island, a sprawling estate in upstate New York, a chic minimalist townhouse in Manhattan, and a romantic seaside house and elaborate garden in the Hamptons. Whether a new construction or a gut renovation, each of his projects is designed in collaboration with the finest artisans and exceptional interior designers. Illustrated with specially commissioned photographs by renowned architecture and interiors photographer Francesco Lagnese, as well site plans and drawings, and featuring a foreword by actress Isabella Rossellini, whose country home he designed, Pietro Cicognani: Architecture & Design is a feast for the eyes and a celebration of unstinting design excellence.

Life/Style is in the tradition of Jane Cumberbatch's classic book Pure Style. Designer Tricia Foley is also a popular devotee of pared-down, quiet interiors. In Foley's first book devoted to her home, she embraces the power of simplicity in her designs. In this inspiring volume, Tricia Foley's charming home--her personal design laboratory--illustrates her approach to creating pure and simple interiors. This pared-down look is back in vogue and Foley, with her refined taste, is one of the leading experts.
